At Orchard Junior we believe it is important to dress smartly.

There is a pride in appearance and a tidy image is presented to visitors and the community.

The main part of our uniform is the bottle green top, available as a sweatshirt or cardigan, and embroidered with the school logo.

A white or yellow polo shirt should be worn by all children, preferably embroidered.

Girls, in the Summer months (April to October), are allowed to wear a green checked dress - please note that yellow dresses are not part of the Junior School uniform.

Embroidered uniform can be bought from either Skoolkit or Tesco (see logos below).

Trousers, shorts or skirts should be dark grey in colour. Skirts should be at least knee length, and shorts should be to just above the knee. "Short shorts" are not appropriate.

Sensible, traditional school shoes should be worn during the school day (no boots, trainers or sandals.)

PE Kit comprises of simple white t-shirt and black shorts. Plain tracksuits are advisable for outdoor sports on colder days.

The children are not to wear any of their main school uniform as part of their PE kit.

Jewellery, with the exception of watches and single stud gold earrings, should not be worn.

Haircuts should be simple and traditional in keeping with our school uniform.

Fashionable hairstyles are not appropriate for school, including died hair, unnecessarily large hair accessories, tramlines etc.

At the end of each term, unclaimed and unnamed uniform/ other items of clothing will be sorted and either kept as spares by the School or given to charity.

Both Skoolkit and Tesco provide our embroidered school uniform. Please click their logos below.
